29!!!!!!!

Well, I've had a busy day!!  But, I wanted to get this post done before I forget!!

How many weeks:  29 weeks

How am I feeling: Hot, emotional, LARGE and extremely happy to be here

Doctor’s Appointment:  Today I saw the OB.  We go back to see her on June 3rd.  We go back to the MFM on June 10th (32 wks) and at that appointment we will set up an appointment to have my cerclage removed.  I cannot believe this is my life.  :0)

Weight Gain:  More than I care to report.  :(

Maternity Clothes:  I wear all maternity clothes these days.  Love it!

Baby Preparation: Nursery is ready, pack-n-play is set up in our room.  We have our first shower on Sunday, we cannot wait.  :0)

Gender: precious baby boy (confirmed on 7 separate u/s - so anything different would totally catch us off guard LOL)

Name:  Noah Reagan McCleskey.  It means Peaceful Little King.  Pretty sweet!

Sleep:  Sleep has never been a problem with any of my pregnancies.  I think it's because of the Prometrium.  :0)  Although Noah likes to wake me up with some kicks/punches around 3 or 4 in the a.m. - I think he just needs some mommy time.  I love it. :0)

Best moment this week:  After not feeling Noah move for nearly 2 days I had a melt down and we went to the ER.  We were there for several hours, and they hooked me up to all the monitors and Noah started going nuts, kicking away and moving non-stop.  It was such a relief...  I was so exhausted from the adrenaline rush...  But it was good, so good, to hear that heart beating away and to know that we are just getting closer and closer to bringing home a baby - alive and well.

Movement: A lot.  I love it.  I love being woken up by it early in the morning.  It's so sweet.

Food cravings: sweet fruits, mango, watermelon, strawberries

What I miss:  I miss my mobility, or the ease of moving anyway.  I also miss being able to paint my toe nails & shave my legs without losing my breath!!

What I am looking forward to: Well, we have made it to the 3rd trimester.  I am very much looking forward to making it to 30 weeks, and then 32 and then 36 and then holding my little boy and loving him up!!

Milestones:  30 weeks, then 32, then 36 (removal of my cerclage) and then delivery...  We cannot wait to snuggle with this little one!!

Medical Mess:  I was officially diagnosed (today) with gestational diabetes.  I will have to check my blood sugar 4 times a day for the next 8-10 weeks.  That is alot of finger pricking!  EEEECK!!!  I'm not looking forward to it, but if it keeps Noah safe - then I know I can do it.  I have decided to no longer read about statistics b/c I'm tired and overly emotional about being the 1 out of whatever the number is...  I knew I would struggle with GD b/c I have PCOS and that means I have an insulin resistance, and during pregnancy you develop an insulin resistance - so already having one is a minus for your team anyway!!  So....  I'm not too hung on the diagnosis, I just want to be sure Noah is healthy, not too big & that he remains safe.

I don't know when we'll get another u/s, it's weird b/c we have had soooo many - it feels like so long since we've seen him!  But, here is what he should be looking like this week:

For the finger pricking: dial the pricker (whatever it is called) to one or two, not five, because preggo women bleed very well, and poke the side (not the pad) of the fourth finger. I never feel it.

Oh I did!! I have to set it at 3 b/c it didn't get me at 1 or 2. And I did the side of the 3rd and 4th fingers so far, and it's really not too bad...

Love you, Girl! So happy to hear that Mr. Noah is behaving himself and that he is progressing along smoothly! Sad to hear that you are having to prick yourself now, I know that has got to be a bummer. You are a loving Mommy though and I know that God will give you the strength to carry Noah to fruition!

Can't wait to hear more news!

Many Hugs,
